I have kind of an unusual problem with a new 1911 variant (Kimber Super Match). The trigger pull is inconsistent as follows... MOST of the time the trigger breaks OK @ 3.75lbs. Nice and clean. BUT...in about 3 or 4 out of twenty times I get a 'stacking' on the trigger pull. I'll try to describe it better. It feels as if the sear moves and them comes to a stop part way through a normal pull. It then requires an additional amount of pull to release the hammer. I'd estimate the poundage needed to release the hammer when this happens increases to 4.5 - 5lbs. I know the following is going to seem a little strange but ... even the SOUND of the hammer fall is different when this 'stacking' occurs. I returned the pistol to the factory repair twice. The first time they said they "adjusted" the trigger. I found it exactly the same as before. The second time "they could find nothing wrong." As you can imagine, I'm VERY dissatisfied with Kimber's (lack of) customer service. Does anyone out there know/suspect what the problem is with this pistols trigger pull? Can you explain what is required to fix it? What I really want is a one of those trigger pulls that breaks like the proverbial "glass rod" at the required legal weight. Can anybody HELP?
